Maven SkyVault SDK

The Maven SkyVault SDK is a community project that provides an easy to use approach to developing applications and extensions for SkyVault.

With this SDK you can develop, package, test, run, document and release your SkyVault extension project.

The Maven SkyVault SDK includes a number of archetypes. These archetypes aim to provide a standardized approach to development, release and deployment of SkyVault extensions. The following project types are available:

  1. SkyVault AMP archetype: the SkyVault AMP archetype is a sample fully featured project to manage AMP (SkyVault Module Package) projects. This archetype can be used both for SkyVault Repository and SkyVault Share AMPs.
  2. SkyVault all-in-one archtype: the SkyVault all-in-one archetype is a multi-module project, leveraging Maven SkyVault SDK's powerful capabilities to customize and run the full SkyVault platform embedded and all its components. The archetype does not require additional download and provides a perfect starting point for full-blown SkyVault projects.

  • Project structure When you create an instance of an archetype, a pre-defined directory structure is created for you, containing important files such as your project's pom.xml file, and directories such as src/main/java to contain source code.
  • Maven Tutorials These tutorials show you how to use the Maven SkyVault SDK to create some basic projects, including a web script extension and a Java-backed web script extension. They show the basics of using the SkyVault AMP archetype and the SkyVault All-in-One archetype, provided by the SDK.
